By using this website you accept the Terms and Conditions of this website. An offer by Hanson Porter Curzon Pty Ltd as trustee for The HPC Trading Trust (ABN 22 193 590 048), trading as Hanson Porter Curzon is to supply goods and or services subject to the following Terms & Conditions. Hanson Porter Curzon is an Australian business with prices quoted in AUD only.

These Terms & Conditions relate specifically to Migration Services and Migration Products offered by Hanson Porter Curzon as defined below, and not to general services offered as part of its professional services practice.

Migration Services and Migration Products include and are limited to the provision of goods and services as listed under the ‘Individual’, ‘Family’ and ‘Professional’ fixed fee packages advertised.

By authorising Hanson Porter Curzon you agree and confirm:

1. That you are not an Australian citizen.

2. That you require a Tax File Number as an individual and not for a Pty Ltd company, partnership, association, charity, not for profit or any other entity.

3. That you are travelling to Australia and entering or have entered Australia on a non-Australian passport.

4. That you are legally allowed to apply for a Tax File Number.

5. That you have received or are in the process of applying for a permanent resident Visa from the Australian Government and you are or will be living in Australia (for Medicare registration purposes only).

6. That if your arrival date and first night accommodation in Australia changes or it is not fixed, you must contact us by email at migration@hansonportercurzon.com to advise us what your arrival date and where your first night accommodation will be.

7. That we are authorised to contact your Migration Visa Agent to request information that may assist with the completion of our services.

8. That the information you have supplied to us (name, passport number, country of origin etc.) on our form is correct or that information that was provided to your Migration Visa Agent for preparation for your Australian Visa application is correct.

9. That if you already have an Tax File Number issued by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and during our facilitation we re-secure/re-activate this Tax File Number on your behalf, as long as this takes place within the 28 day period, then this will be classified as delivery of the Tax File Number.

10. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased we will complete the application and lodgement for an individual Australian Tax File number on your behalf and register you under our Tax Agent Number, as a client of Hanson Porter Curzon. As part of our role we communicate with the Australian Tax Office on your behalf using both electronic and telephone communications to process your application.

11. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased we will facilitate opening a bank account and providing you with a personal banker with an Australian Financial Institution on your behalf by completing the registration documentation and lodging it with the Australian Financial Institution of our choice, and that fees and or charges may be levied by this institution to you in addition to ourselves. Upon arrival in Australia, you will personally have to attend a meeting at a branch of your choice with the Financial Institution to complete the application process.

12. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased we will complete application documentation on your behalf for registration under Medicare Australia, a section of the Department of Human Services. You will personally have to lodge this form with additional identification at a Medicare office to be able to complete the application process and apply for a Medicare card and to be registered under Medicare Australia.

13. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased we will complete the application and or registration documentation your behalf for registration with Centrelink online, a section of the Department of Human Services. No guarantee, representation, liability, warranty or assurance is provided by Hanson Porter Curzon in relation to the success, validity, ability or eligibility for you to obtain Centrelink benefits.

14. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased we will provide you with documentation to assist with your application for an Australian Drivers License, in the state of your destination. No guarantee, representation, liability, warranty or assurance is provided by Hanson Porter Curzon in relation to the success, validity, ability or eligibility for you to obtain an Australian Drivers License. Additional fees and or charges may be levied upon you by the State Traffic Authorities with regard to application for an Australian Drivers License.

15. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased we will facilitate opening a ‘pre-paid’ mobile telephone account (including the supply of a Sim card and AUD30.00 worth of ‘call’ and ‘text‘ credit with credit valid for a period of 30 days from activation) with an Australian Telecommunication company on your behalf, and that fees and or charges may be levied by this organization to you in addition to ourselves.

16. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased we will supply you with a mobile phone handset suitable for use with the Sim card stipulated in point 15 above. The mobile phone handset advertised is subject to change according to stock availability without notice. The provision of a different handset to that advertised constitutes the supply of valid goods and services under this offer by Hanson Porter Curzon.

17. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased we will supply you with a list of institutions that supply English classes, in the state of your destination. This list is not to be taken as inexhaustible, but a selection of institutions that are available in and around your nominated state of destination. No guarantee, representation, liability, warranty or assurance is provided by Hanson Porter Curzon in relation to the competence, skill, or integrity of the institutions provided on the list. Additional fees and or charges may be levied upon you by the institution to undertake the course or program desired.

18. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased, we will facilitate opening a ‘pre-paid’ mobile internet account (including the supply of a Sim card and 5GB data valid for a period of 90 days from activation) with an Australian Telecommunication company on your behalf, and that fees and or charges may be levied by this organization to you in addition to ourselves.

19. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased, we will facilitate opening a ‘pre-paid’ IPAD2 data account (including the supply of a Sim card and 3GB data valid for a period of 30 days from activation) with an Australian Telecommunication company on your behalf, and that fees and or charges may be levied by this organization to you in addition to ourselves. IPAD2’s are sold separately.

20. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchased, we will facilitate opening a ‘travel card’ for use on public transport in the state of your destination, inclusive of AUD50.00 travel credit.

21. That in accordance with the list of goods and services purchases, we will provide 2 hours and 30 minutes of professional accounting/taxation services to you that can be utilised as you prefer. These services must be used within 12 months of arriving in Australia after purchasing the corresponding goods and services. Additional professional fees and or costs may apply in regards to any advice given at any of the meetings.

22. That in accordance with the list of services and goods purchased, we will facilitate an introductory meeting (of approximately 60 minutes) with each of a Financial Advisor, Mortgage Broker, Private Banker, Risk Advisor and Solicitor upon your arrival in Australia. These services must be used within 12 months of arriving in Australia after purchasing the corresponding goods and services. Additional professional fees and or costs may apply in regards to any advice given at any of the meetings.

23. That we will add your nominated email address to the Hanson Porter Curzon monthly newsletter.

24. That we have given you no advice as to the appropriateness or suitability of your undertaking regarding the services we provide and that you have made your own choice in undertaking to use our services. Although the Hanson Porter Curzon team includes accountants and registered tax agents we are not providing accounting or legal services. We therefore do not give or claim to give, accounting, legal or financial advice.

25. That the ATO, Centrelink, Medicare Australia or any State Departments may charge penalties for supplying false or misleading information. Hanson Porter Curzon and their authorized representatives will not accept any responsibility or liability for charges or other damages arising due to the provision of incorrect information from our clients.

26. That our website aims to detail all information clearly. However, if you misinterpret such explanations we are not liable in any way for any such misinterpretation. Please contact us via email at migration@hansonportercurzon.com if you need to clarify something.

27. That Hanson Porter Curzon is not liable to you or any other third party for any loss or damage that may be suffered by you or such third party as a result of using any of the services we provide.

28. That if we cannot process your Tax File Number application immediately through our electronic system, the ATO stipulates that we must wait a period of up to 28 business days from the date that the application was lodged before contacting them to resolve the issue. This is entirely normal for a small number of clients and should not be a cause for concern as a percentage of electronic applications are rejected by the ATO.

29. That if your application is rejected by the ATO it may be for any number of reasons. These may include (but are certainly not limited to):

a. Information supplied not matching exactly with information the ATO has on file

b. Information supplied to the ATO not matching information on file with Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).

c. If you have had, currently have or have applied for a Tax File Number in the past

d. Systems processing issues at the ATO, such as IT works

30. As part of our service, we will contact the ATO on your behalf and do our best to resolve any application problems that may have arisen. As soon as we have secured your Tax File Number we will advise you. If the ATO rejects your application once our registered tax agent has consulted them by phone, we will advise you of the reason for the rejection and seek possible solutions.

31. That Hanson Porter Curzon is not liable to you or any other third party for any associated costs from use of third party products, services or advice. Any faults, defects, connection, data, credit, communication, call, product, advice or third party warranty deficiencies are not the responsibility of Hanson Porter Curzon. Any third party products, services or advice used and or relied upon, in the event of dissatisfaction, should be remedied directly by the third party product or service provider.

32. We do not offer refunds, however, at our sole discretion; we may make allowances for early cancellations. If you notify us that you would like to cancel your order before we have commenced the registration and application process and have not packaged and sent any goods (for example, if you submit an application to us after 6pm and then cancel it before 8am on the next working day), we may provide you with a full refund less a AUD55.00 administration, posting and handling fee. However, the decision of whether to provide you with a refund under such circumstances is made on the merits of each request and takes into account our involvement to the point of cancellation.

33. That delivery of services should be completed within 28 business days from the date of your arrival (subject to ATO registration).
